How does changing the amount of males and females affect the number of adults in 3 weeks? I put in 2 females and 1 male then there will be 260 adults at the end of three weeks because each day both females will lay 20 eggs each and day 14 will hatch. We are doing an a experiment on fruit flies because we want to know how many eggs they will hatch in 3 weeks. On our research, we figuring out our question to solve and that question is how does changing the amount of males and females affect the number of adults in 3 weeks. In my hypothesis, I put if i put in 2 females and 1 male, then there will be 260 adults at the end of 3 weeks because each day both females will lay 20 eggs and day 14 will hatch. This is what we are doing in class so far. Step 1: we choose a combination FFM fruit flies. Step 2: We drugged the flies with flynape. Step 3: We set up a jar with media yeast. Step 4: identify which flies are males and females then put my combination together. Step 5: then put them in a jar with food in a hortizantel way. Step 6: observe your jar and another group jar. Step 7: we have to count them adults at the end of 3 weeks. In my graph, I have the numbers of hiw many fruit flies i counted. Then i put the numbers into a graph. If i put in 2 females and 1 male, then it will be 260 adults at the end of three weeks because each day both females will lay 20 eggs each and day 14 will hatch. My data supports my hypothesis by showing the information that is important and how many fruit flies my group counted. I don't think my hypothesis is wrong but it depends what the teacher says if its right or wrong. We found the answer in our class but we find more information as a group. What happened in my experiment is that we counted our fruit flies in order to do our graphs. My data supports my hypothesis because it represents of how we counted the fruit flies and did it with the teachers. There's nothing wrong in my experiment but its up to the teachers to decide if its right or wrong. I could improve my experiment is by having more information so i could get a good grade. How does this experiment improve our science skills for next year.

This Week in Science (Daphnia and Introduced Species)
What we did this week in science is that we went to the biotic bus down stairs of our school. Then we went inside to see whats inside the bus and it was like a laboratory of computers, bored, and many stuffs that they need in a experiment. We tested a small animal with drugs that is called a Daphnia and we were counted on the heart beats in 30 seconds. Then we were learning about hippo which is that what is the five words stand for and we figured it out. This week went so far so good but it will get better on the next few weeks.
What we learn about this week in science is that we learned that the Daphnia can't take the drugs but either way it will come back to life and its heart is still beeping. Us humans can't take the drugs because its bad for us in our body's. The Daphnia is different for us because we don't have the same organisms as we do but some we have the same organisms. I learned a lot this week in science and this helps me understand a lot for next year to do better.

This Week in Science (No Impact Man)
I think No Impact Man's year project is to prove how the environment works without using useful stuffs like electricity, toliet paper, and alot of stuffs. I think this idea of the environment is kinda stupid to do because there's no way the impact man can survive without toliet paper and electricity and other stuffs that is useful to them. It depends how his wife and daughter can't take it and live the normal life they way it is with everything useful.
No Impact Man's behavior lower his negative impact on the environment by not using all the stuffs that he needs and turning it into environment. I never seen any person did this kind of stuff and I think its crazy to do this. No Impact Man is not telling the people to do this environment but he just showing how the environment is and how is it helpful.
My reaction and feelings of watching this flim is that i was suprised and it was stupid of what No Impact Man is doing in the evironment. Everybody in my class said that No Impact Man is werid for doing this. i would never do this in my life for ever.

This Week in Science (Fruit Flies Part 2)
What we did last week in science is that we are creating a chart of how many females and males there going to be in our habitat. We got our spiders to put in our habitat. Last week went well on our hard work to solve the big problem and we use math to solve our problem. My group didn't get our fruit flies yet because we are still working on our chart and how many females and males there going to be on our habitat. I think this is a good idea of doing our chart in fruit flies because i never did this last year and i am learning a lot.
What we learn in science last week is that we are learning about spiders and fruit flies in our habitat. I learned that there can be more fruit flies depending on how many they lay in 3 weeks. I learned alot in science because this lesson and other lessons are going to help me do better next year. Thanks to all the teachers that made me learn alot in my school and i respect on doing well in my education.
If i had two females and one male, it will make sense of males doing what they mostly do with the females.

This Week in Science (Ecosystems)
What we did in science of the past 2 weeks is that we made a design of our habitat that would look like in our tanks. We are having spider in our habitat to take care of and we made a list of the things that spiders need like water, fruit flies, small plants, rocks, and dirt. Then we went to a trip to the Chinese garden to pick up dirt and insects to put in our tanks. We found a lot of insects in the dirt, rocks and bushes. It was fun to be in a garden x). Then we took the test on ecosystem and after that, we have to correct the mistakes we made.
This picture shows a group getting supplies for our tank to get the insects.

This Week in Science (Spider Habitat Design)
What we did this week in science is that we did a spider habitat design. The teachers decide that we are going to have our spiders to take care of. We list the things that the spiders that need to survive and have shelter. We created a habitat cycle on doing preliminary research and brain storm to know what are we doing in this lesson. I list the abiotic and biotic factors which have to be in tank and then we have to draw the tank and the list of the things that the spiders need. Then we played a game called carbon oxygen cycle and all we have to do is make the carbon oxygen travel around the cycle then the five main factors that are Atmosphere, soil, land plant, surface ocean, and deep ocean. And thats we did this week and it was fun x).
What we learn this week in science is that we learn about the spider habitat design and a lot about spiders. We learn about the game called the carbon oxygen cycle and it made us learn a lot about what is the resevoirs. I wish we had all these lessons in our old school last year because it could be better if we had a lot of stuffs to learn. Our teachers are doing good of making us learning a lot about the resevoirs and more. I learn that im doing really good in science and learning about stuffs that we need to learn.
We learned alot of words that explains and shows the spider habitat design. The first word that we learned is called a food chain which means that shows the transfer of food energey from one organism to another. Food chain represents to the spider habitat because in the tank, theres going to be small plants and the sun gives the energy to the plants for it to live and spiders just need energy to get things what they want. Energy pyramid means that shows the amount of energy in each traphic level of an ecosystem. Spiders needs a little of energy to take care of the things that they want depending on how they decide to. Food web means a set of interconnected food chains that shows the feeding relationships is an ecosystem. Limiting factors means the available energy, water, oxygen, minerals, and the abilty or ecosystem to recycle the remains of dead organisms. Carrying capacity means the number of organisms any environment can support. The spiders don't hurt the plants but the plants give energy to the spiders for supporting things. Abiotic means the non-living things that are in the tank which is rocks, small plants, soil, and water. These non-living things are for the spider to think that its at home. Biotic means the living things that live in the tank which a spider and some flys. These are all the words that includes in the spider habitat design and what the spiders need to survive.

This Week in Science (Carrying Capacity and Relationships)
What we did this week in science is that we played a game first called O Deer. This game we played is fun because there are natural resources which is food, water, and shelter and there are the deers. Another game we played this week is the card game and it means that we have to match a card that goes with the other by animals. These two games we played made us learn more about the Carrying Capacity and Relationships. Then we watch a videos of Predator pray, Mutual-ism, Commercialism, and Parasitism. And that's pretty much what we learn this week and games we played are fun x).
What we learn this week in science is that we learn new words that are Predator Pray, Mutualism, Commercialism, and Parasitism. The word Predator Pray means when a predator travels and looks for food to hunt and we watch a video of a predator getting food. Mutualism means two organism trading for something to get protection. Commercialism means when one organism is benefit and the other one is not harmful. The last word is Parasitism when a small animal harms another.

First Impressions.
My first impressions about dissecting a frog is that i was surprised and unhappy to do this because i didn't want to do this in my life and i never wanted to look the inside of a frog. I always wounder when are we going to do this since 7th grade but i change my mind of doing this because it's nasty. I wanted to know why are we only dissecting frogs instead of dissecting other animals. I wanted to dissect a snake or any reptile because i always wanted to learn about any dangerous animals that interested in their life and how they get food, shelter, and where do go around. Even though frogs are reptiles, i still don't want to dissect them because it's nasty and they have the same organs as us like heart, liver, and more. But i think it will be fun and scary to do this dissecting and learn new things about frogs.
My Fantasy Habitat
The things that i did this week is learning about animals. The first thing we did to start this lesson that we are working on is pick our favorite animals and explains why we pick that animal. We have to find the information of that animal like what food they eat, where they live, how they survive, and more. This lesson was easy because the work we did makes us understand what kind of animals we get to learn more about. Last year in my science class, we never did any of this and i was hoping that we could do this instead of doing work ourselves and finding what kind of animals we doing.
The things that we learn about animals is that we learn new words that are biome, blome, biotic, and abiotic. The word Biome means what countries does the animal live and what part of the place they live. I found where my animal lives and it lives in the Deciduous Forest. The word Blome means the large area with distinct features meaning what other animals live in the Deciduous Forest which is platypus, chipmunk, black bear, raccoon, blue jay,American bald eagle, quail, brown bear, and a moose. Biotic means living things in that place. Abiotic means non-living things in the place like rocks, soil, sunlight, and Co2.These are the things that i learn the most and understand the work.

This Week in Science:Energy Transfer
The things we did this week is that we learned about food chains and new words that go with the food chain. David, our science teacher show us an example of the animal that eats another. There's five words that we learned which is consumer, producer, primary consumer, secondary consumer, and tertiary consumer.Consumer means any organism that eats another organism for example a hawk eats snake and the hawk is the one who starts to eat the organism.Producer means any organism that makes its own food for example a plat do not eat animals, they make there own food.Second Consumer means an organism that gets its energy from primary consumer and Tertiary Consumer means an organism that gets its energy from second consumer. We learn that animals eat each other and get energy from some non-living things and we understand that they are like the same as us but they're different from our minds. Other five new words that we learn in this lesson is Autotroph, Hetertroph,Herdivore, and Carnivore. These new words have the same definition of the other words but another way to explain the energy pyramid.

This Week in Science
On the first day of this unit,we created our blogs and did our first post. Our first post was how we know about frogs and our first impression about them.We have to create a blog to get the information we need to dissect the frogs.I was surprised that we have to do this and i never did this in my old school. We found information about frogs that we didn't learn such as bio-indicators means is an organism or biological response that reveals the presence of the pollutants by the accurate of typical symptoms.
I never wanted to do the dissecting thing because its nasty and i wounder why we have to do this to learn the body parts in our body. But i understand that we have to do this dissecting thing because its the easy way to learn the body parts in our body. What we did in this lesson is that we learn about frogs and the inside the body that organism. I learn how to tell a frog that its a boy or girl by looking at their thumbs. I also learned that they structures that humans do not have, like fat bodies.
This picture shows the open body of the backbone."peaceful". I choose this picture because it shows how the back bone of a frog looks like. This picture shows a work sheet that we worked on.I choose this picture because it shows how hard we worked for this dissection.
This picture shows peaceful's tongue.I choose this picture because its nasty and this was our first assignment.
This picture shows the frogs stomach and the rest of the organs.I choose this picture because its similar to our organs.
This picture shows the eyes and the top of the frog.I choose this picture because it shows how the skins loom like and the eyes.
